Timothy Shepherd:
Timothy N. Shepherd was born in Griffin, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Political Science in 1978 and obtained his J.D. from the University of Georgia in 1981. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1981. He worked with the firm of Heard, Leverette & Adams in Elberton, Georgia for two years before returning to his hometown of Griffin in 1984. Mr. Shepherd formed the partnership of Mullins, Whalen & Shepherd in Griffin in 1986. In 1994, Mr. Shepherd formed the partnership of Shepherd & Johnston with William G. Johnston. That firm was dissolved in 2006. Mr. Shepherd’s son Patrick joined him in his practice in 2009. Mr. Shepherd concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of education law, local government law, personal injury law, medical malpractice law, wrongful death law, employment law, divorce and custody law, and criminal law, civil litigation and wills, trusts and estates.
Patrick Shepherd:
Patrick Shepherd was born in Athens, Georgia and moved to Griffin at the age of one. Patrick is a 2001 honor graduate of Griffin High School. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He graduated law school from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2009 and was awarded the Custer-Tuggle award for the outstanding senior studying family law. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2009. Patrick works primarily in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, criminal law, divorce and custody law, education law, civil litigation and wills, trusts and estates.
